Guiding Principles

All people are equal and should be treated as such.

All people have strengths to share with their community.

Working with people is the best way to build a healthy community.

To serve the community is to remain autonomous and responsive to local needs and authorities.

Working in partnership is the best way to serve the community.

We are committed to ensuring that services are provided with respect and confidentiality.

About Us

In 1996, concerned citizens in Nanton met to discuss the need for a
safety net to support local services if government funding was not available.
They formed the
Nanton Quality of Life Foundation (NQLF),
focusing on raising funds to help individuals and groups in our community.
A few years later, the
Town of Nanton partnered with NQLF to provide services for the
Nanton Family & Community Support Services program.
In 2001, NQLF began delivering FCSS services to rural residents of the
M.D. of Willow Creek as well as the Town of Nanton.
This led to the establishment of the
Nanton & Area Family
and Community Support Services program
.
In 2016, NQLF expanded the service of the Nanton & Area FCSS program
to include residents within the boundaries of the
M.D. of Ranchland.
